Frequently Asked Questions

Billing and Fees

Session fees range from $160-$200, depending on your clinician and the length of your appointment. We kindly request payment at the time of service, and a credit card is required to be placed on file prior to your first appointment. If your individual clinician does not accept your insurance, you have the option of receiving a receipt for each transaction via the patient portal, for reimbursement using your out-of-network benefits. We are happy to provide a superbill as a courtesy to you.

Insurance Reimbursement

Like many experienced therapists, acceptance of insurance varies and may be limited. Please contact the therapist you are interested in working with to inquire about which plans they accept. If you have out-of-network benefits you would like to use, we can provide you with a superbill enabling you to submit claims to your insurance provider, which is then responsible for reimbursing you consistent with your out of network coverage. Ultimately, you (and not your insurance provider) are responsible for full payment of fees.

Session Length

Typical sessions are 50 minutes long with 5 minutes of “flex time” for scheduling, billing, etc. Due to the nature of psychotherapeutic work, we adhere firmly to time guidelines. As such, if you are late for a scheduled session, it will still end at its regularly scheduled time. If I am late for a session, I will either make up the lost time or adjust the fee accordingly.

Missed Appointment Policy

We request that you provide 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend or need to reschedule an appointment. A $100 cancellation fee will be automatically charged for missed appointments, unless alternate arrangements have been made. This amount is not billable to insurance.
