ABOUT ME

AJ Diamonti, PhD

Dr. Diamonti began his career as a classroom teacher and school administrator, before returning to school himself to train as a psychologist. He received a Master of Arts degree in Mental Health Counseling and his doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, from Boston College, and completed his pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology at Tewksbury Hospital in Massachusetts. His education and experience have included working with children, adolescents, and adults within public and private school systems, college counseling centers, and inpatient hospital settings.

Working as a teacher and as a psychologist has allowed AJ to collaborate with people as they learn new ways of managing the challenges of life and discover ways to develop better relationships with themselves and others. This has affirmed a belief in the strength, courage and resilience each individual possesses. He believes it is important to build a non-judgmental space with his clients that acknowledges that they are the experts on their own experience, where they can feel accepted for who they are even as they are working towards change, learning to better manage stress, improve relationships, and to replace what is not working in their lives with what might work better.
